The Tampa Orlando Pinellas (TOP) Jewish Foundation, Inc. is a partnership of three Jewish communities whose goal is to provide permanent resources through endowment to improve quality of life locally, in Israel and other places overseas. The Foundation provides personal and confidential attention to assist donors, professional advisors, Jewish Federations, agencies, synagogues and other not-for-profits in exploring gift-planning strategies that fulfill both philanthropic and financial objectives.
Established in 1980, the Foundation is a 509(a)1 and 501(c)(3) organization that has pooled hundreds of private donor contributions for investment providing consistently strong earnings available for distribution. Through donor-designated grants, the Foundation contributes to both Jewish and non-Jewish charities for a broad range of social, cultural and educational initiatives. A Board of Trustees and experienced staff oversee administration, management, investment, marketing and grant distribution for the Foundation. Professional investment consultants are utilized to advise and assist in maximizing returns within rigid parameters of safety per the Foundation’s investment policy.
The TOP Jewish Foundation is a supporting Foundation of the Jewish Federations of Tampa, Orlando and Pinellas Counties. Its purpose is to assist these three communities to achieve their immediate and long-term goals through endowment.
TOP is dedicated to the continuance and enhancement of the legacy of our forebearers. In partnership with the Jewish communal institutions, it seeks to insure the survival and viability of our local, national, and world Jewish community from generation to generation.
With that guiding principle in mind, TOP's mission continues to be:
To develop a permanent base of support for our communities, their institutions and programs through the major growth of unrestricted and restricted endowment fund programs.
To support the growth of the Jewish communities of Tampa, Orlando and Pinellas Counties, and to serve the needs of our people locally, nationally, in Israel and throughout the world.
To empower and assist families and individual in achieving their philanthropic goals in the most tax-advantaged manner, working with estate planning, tax, legal and financial planning professionals.
Please contact a TOP Jewish Foundation representative to learn how we can help you achieve your charitable giving goals and make being generous easier and more beneficial for you.
